"Through an older eye" workshops

"Through and older eye" workshops are a range of workshops and presentations that cover historical photographic techniques that can still be used today to produce expressive and meaningful images. Images that are very different from the digital offerings we are faced with today.

"This is a huge big thank you for the workshop you did today.

I said at the beginning I hadn’t seen a full format camera (other than in pictures), let alone use one and your workshop more than made up for that.

I learnt so much and you made the whole day so enjoyable. You worked your socks off for us."

Had a great time this morning doing a wet plate collodion workshop with @oldparson I’m now the proud possessor of a photo of me on a glass plate. I would have worn my crinoline if I had realised…. Will be trying a cyanotype with the plate - of course. Held at the lovely @theartsquartercheddar

"A really fun photography workshop today with Simon Williams @oldparson.art . We used vintage cameras, some nearly 100 years old, learnt how to process our film in a darkroom, used x-ray film and glass plates and leant how to use a light meter and set aperture. The kids were allowed to do everything and Simon was great with them. 2 hours flew by, I'd highly recommend booking onto a workshop"
