I wanted to try some something new, taking the opportunity of a steam train passing through the area. I had everyone set up, then moved the camera, but forgot I'd lost my cue position for the train so only just caught its front

The camera used was the Thornton Pickard Imperial from 1890. This is a full-plate camera making negatives 6.5x8.5 inches onto orthochromatic Xray film.
